The 2023 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is only the second time the race has been staged. It runs from July 23 to July 30. However it is part of the UCI Women’s World Tour calendar and is the 21st race in 2023.

It’s a great step towards popularising and encouraging women’s professional cycle races.

The Tour de France Femmes 2023 Race

The race is 956 kms long, starting in Clermont-Ferrand and finishing in Pau. It goes through 3 regions: Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie and 11 departments.

A total of €250,000 will be awarded across the different stages, jersey and team competitions, including €50,000 to the winner of the final general classification. It’s peanuts compared to the money in the men’s Tour de France particularly as millions tune in to watch the Tour de France Femmes on television.
