Hi Barbara. I have been writing about France for decades (and have contributed to many guidebooks on France for Frommers, Wiley and others). I bought a house in the Haute-Loire just after leaving university – a long time ago- and have been spending a lot of time there. I am not French, but Welsh which for the French is nearly as good as being Scottish!
